ContactCORP are looking for a MET Technician to join our client, a vehicle repair and care specialists based in Swindon, Wiltshire.
This job description is for a MET Technician position, which stands for Mechanical, Electrical, and Trim Technician. The primary responsibilities of a MET Technician involve repairing and maintaining vehicles, using power tools and hand tools, and applying mechanical knowledge to diagnose and fix issues. The role requires physical strength for heavy lifting, as well as proficiency in using various tools. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to follow instructions are also important for success in this role.
MET Technician responsibilities:
- Diagnosing, repairing and maintaining vehicles in line with our Client’s high standards
- Familiarity with the skills, knowledge and techniques required to be successful in a MET Technician / Fitter role.
- To identify additional repair work and liaise with the bodyshop advisor
- Communicating effectively with other team members
- Carry out quality controls
