Job Title: Business Support Administrator (Children and Families)

Location: Swindon SN3

Salary:  £8.87 Overtime paid at  £13.31 - £17.74

Hours: 30 hours per week - Working Hours: Monday – Friday shifts between 10.00 – 16.30

 

My client is currently looking for a confident and enthusiastic administrator to join our busy team providing administrative support for the Children’s, Families and Community Health team. The team provides support to Health Visiting, Family Service, School Nurses, Targeted Mental Health Practitioners, Youth Engagement Workers, Education Welfare Officers, Educational Psychologists and Speech and Language Therapists. These teams aim to empower and support families in making changes to create a safe and stable environment for their children, both at home, and within the community

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • General administration which includes, typing, letter production, scanning, stock ordering, and opening, scanning and recording the post and reports received by email;
  • Answering and transferring incoming phone calls to the team, taking messages where appropriate;
  • Arranging a variety of meetings, both internal and external, ensuring rooms are booked as required;
  • Formatting and checking letters/reports prior to circulation (a keen eye for detail is required.)
  • Data entry onto our CRM system - Routinely dealing with sensitive information and maintaining   confidentiality at all times;
  • Completing reception duties as required.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate excellent ICT skills (including specific use of Microsoft Packages), customer service and communication (written and verbal) skills, the ability to prioritise and multitask, be able to work independently and as part of a team and an understanding of confidentially.

 

Essential Skills Required

  • A High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • An Enhanced DBS is essential for this post
  • Ability to carry out numerical calculations
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and writing to a wide range of people
  • Ability to organise own workload to meet targets and deadlines
  • Ability to use Microsoft packages
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative
  • Logical thinking with creative problem solving ability
  • Previous experience within a similar role
  • Self motivated, flexible, resourceful
